About the project
Bromley-by-Bow Centre is the UK's pioneer in community-led health and wellbeing, including social prescribing. Currently offering 40 services, since the early 1980s it has devised long term programmes, adapted according to need, including 4 GP practices, debt and employment advice and support for local start-ups. This is continuously informed by an innovative model of research, conducted by trained local residents, who also co-design improvements.
