About the project

Local residents are trained and employed to go door-to-door, helping people with health, money, isolation and housing problems. Through better take-up and less relience on A&E, this very popular role is having a direct impact on local health statistics up and down the country.

Local capacity created

  • Motivated people willing to be trained and ready to handle responsibility

  • All parties committed to building and resourcing a collaborative local healthcare model

  • Improved take-up of health screening and vaccination

  • Local people acting as health champions and stewards
